A dislocated shoulder is not what I was expecting!

After a particularly harsh winter in Wales I was very excited to head down to the south of France. The Swatch pro a WQS event just a few weeks away heading down a few weeks early to train seemed like a good plan. How ever the first surf, first wave maybe a little too excited about glassy waves and an empty line up dislocated my shoulder!! 'Dislocation is the result of a traumatic injury, caused by extreme forces that stretch muscles, ligaments, and tendons. The injury occurs when the Humeral Head (ball-like shape at the end of the Humerus) is forced out of its socket'. Its the most painful injury I have ever sustained. With a possible 6 to 8 weeks in a sling it was not the best start to the season!
